Celler Vell takes part in a tasting at the “Aula de Gust”

On the 23rd of November, Celler Vell offered a tasting of our Estruch Brut Nature cava as part of the 1st “Aula de Gust” (Tasting Class), a select gastronomic event organised by Cinto Puig of Celler de Ullastrell.

The event was held at the Celler de Ullastrell wineries, with 30 invite-only guests in attendance. Our representative, Jordi Ramon, offered them a tasting of Estruch Brut Nature whilst giving a short presentation on how this cava is produced.

Estruch Brut Nature is the highest expression of a cava produced by the traditional method. Produced with Chardonnay and the other noble varieties used, allowing us to achieve an extraordinary bouquet and taste. An intense, gold coloured cava with greenish reflections. Very fine, consistent bubbles; whole persistent crown. Complex yet subtle bouquet, without the predominance of any one variety due the balanced "coupage". Obviously smooth, it goes perfectly with snacks, seafood and oven-baked fish.

In addition to our cava, the guests at the “Aula de Gust” had the chance to try four high quality artisanal food products: a sherry from the Ximenez-Spinola wineries, a “cendrat” cheese from Cala Nuri d’Ullastrell, artisan “longaniza” (spicy pork sausage) from Castellterçol and a limited run olive oil produced by the host, Celler de Ullastrell.
